Saving Little Lives: Our Journey of Pediatric Resuscitation and Empowerment

About PAIRS Group

PAIRS Group was founded to address the need for accessible, evidence-based paediatric resuscitation training programmes in settings with resource challenges.

Existing internationally accredited resuscitation training courses may not be appropriate in limited resource settings due to significant cost, resource implications an d limited scope for flexibility in curriculum content due to accreditation processes.

Background

Resuscitation training needs differ in and between resource-challenged healthcare settings, influenced by many factors including organisational and physical infrastructure, personnel and material resourcing, location and patient populations.

Approaches to resuscitation in these settings require a flexible yet robust and cost-effective approach that aims to create independent training faculties.
The PAIRS programme has been designed to fulfil the above criteria and play an established role in the propagation of this new generation of resuscitation training in resource-limited healthcare settings in the near- and medium-term future.

The PAIRS Training curriculum is endorsed by the Faculty of Paediatrics Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
